The Finnish Museum of Photography is organizing a curator clinic for artists working with photography and lens-based media. During the day, the exhibition team will familiarize themselves with the artists' work and provide feedback. Each individual meeting lasts 30 minutes, with approximately 10 minutes allocated for presenting the work. If the artist does not have a specific project or piece they want to present, it is advisable to prepare a presentation or question for the exhibition team to provide feedback on. The purpose of the meetings is not specifically to look for new exhibitions for the museum's program, but to enhance the museum's collaboration with the field of photographic art.
The meetings will be held at the Finnish Museum of Photography's Kaapelitehdas office. Meetings can also be arranged via Teams.
You can book a 30-minute slot for yourself through the attached calendar reservation for the day of September 6, 2024. Please indicate when making the reservation if you prefer the meeting to be held via Teams. Note that you cannot choose which of the museum's curators you will meet.
