Monday, June 3, 2019, 4–8 p.m. Free entry all evening.
This year marks the 50th anniversary of the Finnish Museum of Photography. The anniversary of Europe's oldest photography museum will be celebrated at the museum at Cable Factory (Kaapelitehdas) on June 3, 4–8 p.m. The event is free and open to everyone, and coffee and cake will be served to the first 300 guests.
On the day of the event, the museum will be filled with performances and activity booths. Come and have your anniversary portrait taken free of charge as part of All Walls Collective's art installation! You may also choose to have your commemorative photo taken at Nouseva Aurinko's aura photography booth. Fine camera expert Esko Putus values cameras brought by guests, and there will be a performance by artist Hannele Rantala.
The large exhibition space will be reserved for special projections. When the museum invited its friends to create this event, 12 photographers and groups of photographers decided to come on board. The photographers will fill the space with unique performances. There will also be an array of images from the museum's history and collections.
DJ Sophia Wekesa will be in charge of the evening's soundscape.
We look forward to welcoming you!
