Everyday routines, what are they? Clipping our nails, brushing our teeth, and eating are things we constantly do, but seldom think about.
For the Routines exhibition, Santeri Happonen has photographed a number of domestic routines and put them on display in the form of photographic loops – a technique we primarily know from 19th century pre-cinema devices, optical toys and animated GIF images on the web.
Santeri Happonen (born 1987) is a Rovaniemi-based general worker in photographic media. Although photography is Happonen's core competence, nowadays he prefers working with moving images and sound.
The exhibition is also on Facebook.
