Transeurope

Transeurope is a new European forum for photography and the visual arts, aiming at encouraging exchange between professionals, experts and institutions, and the international mobility and visibility of artists. The initiative is organized by The Fundación Contemporánea (Spain), The Finnish Museum of Photography (Finland) and Euromare (Greece). The project is made possible with support from the Creative Europe programme.

The programme will foster exchange between European photography and visual arts professionals.The programme, which will continue until 2019, will include activities such as workshops, portfolio reviews, professional activities, group exhibitions and a magazine, all of which are to encourage exchange between professionals, experts and institutions, and the international mobility and visibility of artists.

The first Transeurope Portfolio Review of 2018 took place in the Finnish Museum of Photography in May. The aim of the event was to create a platform for photographers and professionals for discussion and creative exchange.
