The starting point for the solo dance performance Lapsuuteni puut (Trees of My Childhood) is the love for the forest and trees, as well as their nurturing meaning and power. The performance is largely based on improvisation, draws inspiration from Edith Södergran's forest-themed poems and aims for subtle contact with the audience.

Suvi Honkanen is a versatile dancer, performer and writer. She danced with the Finnish National Ballet during 2011-2019. She has since studied creative writing and journalism both in Finland and the United States and currently works as a freelance writer and artist.
