Back by popular demand, the dance performance Trees of My Childhood from the Night of the Arts will return for a second show at K1 on the 29th of September!
The performance is held in the exhibition space between 5-6 PM and 7-8 PM. During that time, the audience is free to watch the performance as long as they wish.
The entrance to the event: with the museum entrance ticket, 6/12 € / Museum Card, under 18 y.o. free admission. For the safety of the art works, the number of audience in the exhibition space will be limited.
The starting point for the solo dance performance Lapsuuteni puut (Trees of My Childhood) is the love for the forest and trees, as well as their nurturing meaning and power. The performance is largely based on improvisation, draws inspiration from Edith Södergran's forest-themed poems and aims for subtle contact with the audience.
Suvi Honkanen is a versatile dancer, performer and writer. She danced with the Finnish National Ballet during 2011-2019. She has since studied creative writing and journalism both in Finland and the United States and currently works as a freelance writer and artist.
